Kaitlyn Brown serves as our national Communications Specialist where she is able to use her love of art, design, and culture in creating digital and print media for the national ministry. Kaitlyn’s favorite aspects of the graphic design field are that there’s always more to learn and more people to learn from.
Daren and Tina got to know each other as youth leaders of the Refinery Youth Group, a youth group combining high school age students from two of World Impact’s Wichita church plants. They began dating in January of 2003 and were married one year later.
Daren is the Executive Director of Ministry for World Impact’s Midwest Region. Tina works in member care and women’s ministry. Daren and Tina have two boys, Jackson (Sept. 2009) and Justus (Aug. 2012).
Wanting to merge their desire to minister to the poor as well as in the church, Ryan and Amber accepted a call to World Impact and began as missionaries in Wichita in July 2008. They have two sons, Benjamin Ryan (3-10-09) and Nathaniel Lee (12-09-10).
Ryan is the satellite coordinator at Christ the Victor Leadership School and Amber leads the communications team and assists our hospitality ministry. They both serve on the national Team Care & Development Team.
Andy and Lisa have been missionaries with World Impact since 1986. They serve as Co-Directors of the national Team Care & Development team. They give personnel and pastoral oversight to the missionary staff and create and implement training tools for the entire staff.
They have four adult children and four grandchildren.
In 1970 Al led a team from Tabor College that facilitated a Bible club program in urban communities of Wichita. In 1972, Al began as the director of World Impact Wichita and moved into the house on Estelle Street.
Al is currently the Midwest Regional Vice President of World Impact. Ruth serves part-time with billing and accounting and teaches Sunday School at Lighthouse Community Church (a World Impact church plant). They have two daughters Joetta (married to Scott Entz) and Leane.
One week in Detroit for thirteen-year-old Candy Gibson and she knew she would be spending the rest of her life worshipping God in the urban context. For seven years Candy worked in Chester as a church planting missionary and youth coordinator with World Impact. In 2013 she left Chester, PA to accept the position as World Impact’s Marketing Director which brought her to Wichita.
Chip serves as World Impact’s Chief Financial Officer with offices in Wichita and Los Angeles.
Chip and his wife Nancy have raised 3 daughters in Wichita. Two of his daughters are now teachers serving in low-income public schools. Chip enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid golfer. He also loves to hunt and fish when time allows. He is a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals and Wichita State Shocker fan. His family attends Pathway Church in Wichita.
Jordan and Kathryn met while serving at World Impact’s Harmony Heart Camp where Kathryn was working as a secretary and Jordan was working as a college leader.
Kathryn serves at the Administrative Assistant to the Regional Director of Ministry while caring for Mason and Sam. Jordan is the Wichita Ministry Liaison, following up all ministry partnerships. He also assists in maintaining our property while we are without a manager.
David started his work with World Impact as a summer cook at Deer Creek Camp in Colorado. He worked there during the summers for 10 years. There, he learned what true “community” was like.
David is currently the manager of the World Impact Thrift Store (WITS) on Central. He has a heart for the urban poor and sharing the love of Christ with them.
Both having a burden for the city and a call to serve the poor, Andrew and Adria moved directly after graduation to World Impact’s ministry in St. Louis, Missouri. Andrew has served with World Impact since 2001, Adria since 2006. After several years in Wichita, partnering in local prisons, the CTV movement, the launch of ministry in Topeka, KS, the Medlens are returning to St. Louis. They have two sons, Judah and Josiah.
During her first ten years with World Impact, Maren Nielsen served as a missionary at Deer Creek Christian Camp in Bailey, Colorado. Fall 2009, Maren transferred to our Wichita ministry, where she now serves as hospitality coordinator for the World Impact apartments. Maren is a faithful servant who is always flexible and willing to meet various needs as they arise. She is a part of our Christ the Victor Church plant and uses her gifts to minister among that body of believers.
Hayley Ramsey serves as the Director of Operations for World Impact Midwest and as the Mobile Medical Coordinator. She is excited to have found a job that allows her to use her gifts while honoring her passion for the urban poor. In her spare time she enjoys reading, spending time with her dog and two cats and extended family, volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters, and making collage art.
Romney serves World Impact as the Chief of Operations and Senior Vice President. He provides oversight over the National Office and overall operations of World Impact ministry sites around the country.
Amy serves as the Director of Human Resources. The Ruders have two sons, Gabriel and Jacob.
Paul brought his extensive knowledge of maintenance and carpentry to MSR in 2014 along with his wife, Audrey, a gifted artist and volunteer coordinator. Paul lives in Wichita and serves as the Property Manager for MSR as well as our Wichita campus.
They have two adult daughters, Andrea (married to Joe) and Alexa (a WSU student).
