City Director | Dioane, a native of Wichita, felt a call on his life to ministry at an early age. He currently pastors Mending Place a church that he founded in 2009. Mending Place is a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural expression of his deep belief in the diversity the local church should display.
Pastor Gates graduated from Wichita State University with a bachelor’s in business.
As a bi-vocational urban leader, Pastor Gates worked for the Sedgwick Co Sheriff’s Office as a commissioned deputy from 2001-2018. He is a frequent speaker at training events for law enforcement officers/first responders, local businesses, and faith-based communities. Dioane is also a local business owner and member of the Wichita Chamber of Commerce.
Store Manager | David started his work with World Impact as a summer cook at Deer Creek Camp in Colorado. He worked there during the summers for 10 years. There, he learned what true “community” was like.
David is currently the manager of the World Impact Thrift Store (WITS) on Central. He has a heart for the urban poor and sharing the love of Christ with them.

Ministry Coordinator | Alexandra grew up in Whitewater, Kansas and graduated with her undergraduate degree in Sociology—Ethnic and Gender Studies from Emporia State University in 2011. She graduated with her Masters in Entrepreneurial Ministry Leadership from Tabor College in 2017.
She married Abraham in 2009, they met at Emporia State University where he graduated with a Teaching Degree. They had their first daughter; Addisyn, in 2010, their second daughter; Amilee in 2011 and then their third daughter; Arlie in 2014.
She began ministry with World Impact in Wichita, Kansas in 2015 and has worked as the Wichita Ministry Coordinator for almost 2 years. She is involved in many facets of ministry: coordinating the UCA, administrative work for the Wichita City Director, running the Mobile Medical/Dental Clinic, helping with the Free Legal Aid Clinic, coordinating the Evangel Church Planting Schools and helping coordinate many other fundraising and administrative areas.
She loves to read, hike, bike, cook, watch National Geographic, experience new cultures and environments and she especially loves to play board games with her daughters and go on dates with her husband.
