Jordan, Kathryn, Mason and Samuel King
Jordan and Kathryn met while serving at World Impact’s Harmony Heart Camp where Kathryn was working as a secretary and Jordan was working as a college leader. They dated for a couple of years and were married at the camp in October of 2010. At that time they were both considering going into full time ministry, and after a few months of marriage God made it clear that they were called to minister to the inner city with World Impact.
Soon after feeling the call of God on their lives, Jordan and Kathryn found out they were expecting their first child. The Kings attended World Impact's Candidate Assessment Program where their call to the inner city was confirmed and they were commissioned to inner city Saint Louis as church planters. They visited Saint Louis after their assessment and soon fell in love with the city. Despite the abandoned buildings, rampant crime, and poverty they grew to know the confidence that comes from walking in God's will.
On November 4, 2011 Jordan and Kathryn celebrated the birth of their son, Mason Avery, and a few short months later they moved to St. Louis. They lived and ministered in St. Louis for over a year and were involved in church planting preparation, discipleship, and evangelistic activities. The Kings loved the city and the people in St. Louis; however, God had plans for them outside of St. Louis. In the fall of 2013 they were transferred to Morning Star Ranch in Kansas to help build up its staff and program.
January of 2014 the Kings welcomed another little boy, Samuel Janner, into their family. Shortly after, the King family transferred to the ministry team in Wichita, Kansas. Kathryn serves at the Administrative Assistant to the Regional Director of Ministry while caring for Mason and Sam. Jordan is the Wichita Ministry Liaison, following up all ministry partnerships. He also assists in maintaining our property while we are without a manager.
