Jordan King grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania and began working at one of World Impact's camps when he was young teen. He graduated with a degree in Bible and Social work from Cairn University outside of Philadelphia. While he was in college he interned in a drug and alcohol residential program, as well as a children’s crisis management agency, and at a World Impact site outside of Philadelphia. After graduating college Jordan married his wife Kathryn and they now have three young children Mason, Samuel, and Rosalie ages six, four, and 18 months.
Jordan worked for two years in therapeutic family counseling before joining World Impact as full time staff in 2011. Jordan and his family served in St. Louis working with youth and young men from the local neighborhood to further discipleship and church planting efforts. Jordan also served for a year as program director of Morning Star Ranch before transitioning to Wichita. Jordan served as a ministry developer and later City Director in Wichita from 2014-2018 helping to expand our network of church planters, urban pastors, and develop new ministry connections, and help develop the vision for World Impact in Wichita. Jordan is currently serving as a regional ministry developer helping support current World Impact sites, and develop new connections and ministry partnerships in new cities.
Jordan has a heart for training up leaders, church planters, and working with local ministry partners to further the growth of God’s kingdom. He believes that the city can be transformed through the work of evangelism, discipleship, and empowerment of leaders from their own neighborhoods. . Jordan and his family recently relocated to Indianapolis, IN where he will pioneer our efforts to resource leaders and partner with churches to reach their cities with the gospel. Some of his hobbies include running, ultimate Frisbee, fishing, cooking, and reading a great book!
