Andy and his wife, Lisa, have been missionaries with World Impact since 1986. Andy grew up in a rural area near Wichita, Kansas. He graduated from Tabor College with a degree in social work in 1982. It was there that he met Lisa and they later married in June of 1982. Andy worked as a social worker in Wichita for several years investigating child abuse and neglect. In 1986, Andy and Lisa received the call to minister with World Impact. They served their first six years in Wichita helping to establish "Celebration Church" and also working with hundreds of youth and teens.

In 1992 they transferred to Los Angeles where they began a new ministry on Raymond Street to work with youth and adults. In 1996, they transferred back to Wichita to continue church planting ministry. In the late 90s and early 2000, Andy was the interim director for the Dallas ministry in addition helping give oversight to the East Coast city ministries.

In the summer of 2004, Andy, with the help of several key people around the country, hosted the first Candidate Assessment Program (CAP) in Wichita. Since then, Andy has continued to direct the CAP program and in 2009, was appointed to lead the World Impact Team Care Department. As part of his responsibilities with Team Care, Andy gives personnel and pastoral oversight to the Midwest region and he and Lisa make regular pastoral visits to the East and West Coast. Andy also enjoys working with Lisa to train and invest in indigenous  leaders and our missionary staff.

In 2015 Lisa accepted the position of Senior Vice President for the Religious Missionary Order and Team Care. In this role, she provides care, shepherding, and accountability for the RMO and its missionaries.
