Ryan, Amber, Benjamin and Nathaniel Carter
Ryan and Amber, native Texans, met and fell in love while both completing their undergraduate degrees at the University of Houston. After marrying in the summer of 2004, they moved to Dallas where Ryan attended Dallas Theological Seminary. They both worked for a non-profit Christian ministry in an impoverished area of South Dallas. Ryan graduated in May 2008 with a Master of Theology, with concentrations in Old Testament and Christian Education.
Wanting to merge their desire to minister to the poor as well as in the church, Ryan and Amber accepted a call to World Impact and began as missionaries in Wichita in July 2008. They have two sons, Benjamin Ryan (3-10-09) and Nathaniel Lee (12-09-10).
Ryan and Amber live and minister in the city, sharing the love of Christ with their friends and neighbors. They are a part of developing a movement of Christ the Victor Churches that will prayerfully spread throughout the nation's poorest, urban areas! Ryan is an ordained minister and serves as the primary professor and satellite campus coordinator at Christ the Victor Leadership School, sharing his seminary training with leaders of the urban church. He also teaches these courses in the Hutchinson Correctional Facility. Amber serves as the Assistant to the Senior Vice President of the Religious Missionary Order and Team Care while also overseeing communications for the Midwest region and provides food service for conferences, meetings, and visiting guests to our campus.
The Carters love the outdoors, are Houston Astros baseball fans to the core and love hosting guests in their home so give them a call when you are in town.
